do u reckon i could fit a fuel pump from a VT supercharged-6 onto my 6? cos a mate of mine needs a new one and might give me his

I know nothing about those pumps.... but assuming that they are in-tank like ours, and aren't majorly different, then it would probably work....

I've got the stock one in the shed if you want me to take a photo of it, so you don't have to pull yours apart to see it....

no thanks. my mate is no longer gonna give me his fuel pump cos he reckons he can fix it up so that it has a higher flow or something.

They are a bosch shwimmer pump I think from memory.
they are not that big, if it was the external pump which I think maybe the VS Series 2 calais supercharged had, I think all VT's were in tank. I would say you could use the external pump, as a helper. But why? the Bosch pumps are cheap enough and strong enough brand new.

I don't like 2nd hand pumps as the wear is there meaning they can go anytime. Add to that most fuel pumps don't go as well after 100,000k's and can loose pumping pressure.
