Hi all. There was a post in 2006 re fuel tank removal but I would like some extra info please. A mechanic has told me the 4Wheel steer connector shaft requires removal. Is this so? Also is there a drain plug to drain fuel. 5 months ago I had a tank replaced due cracking at the top but now it's leaking again (when full only), maybe a gasket. Gaskets are not available so will have to manufacture one. Anyone had any experience with these tanks please?
P.S. Never use E10 fuel, ethanol absorbs water which corrodes all metal parts of the fuel system; look it up on the net. It is illegal for planes & boats for safety but they don't care if your car engine stops.
