They're only good if you're honest with the weight of the car and the weight of the driver, fatboy. You also have to take tire size into account as well. Some people seem to forget that 18" rims are going to give you inaccurate results when your stock size if 15. HP is only a measure of known tq, speed/rpm anyways.

All in all a big waste of money.

It's a neat toy. You basically use it for benchmarking. Same street, same car, say you add an intake. You can get a good idea of how much power you've gained. But you don't wanna go quoting it when people ask you what your quartermile E/T is.

i read an article in car craft saying that for 1/4 mile times the thing was actually within a 10th or two of actual track performance, and +/- few mph.

never actually used one though.

probably not worth the money, but i guess they aren't completely inaccurate.

my friend uses one. he wanted to see what he hit on his R6. he says it was fairly accurate with stock numbers :shrug: he hasn't let me use it on my 6 yet...doubt if he will, basterd :lol:
