One day while filling up, I pulled the lever to open it and the lever never went back down and now my gas door won't close all the way. Not that big of a problem, but it would be nice to have it working right again.

I took off the covering and saw that the spring and wire or whatever were still connected to it. Any other things to check?

Thanks

WD40?

I'm not sure if it is helpful or not...

Here is my story. I had the same thing with my trunk opener, and as you know they go together. Both of my levers werew up but didn't want to go back down. Some times you spill coffee on a carpet (right on that spot) or water melts off you boots in winter time - cords get rusty, it's getting hard to open trunk or fuel lid. What I did -- sprayed S**t of it with WD40, then lowered levers back in plase and repeated several times - it helped.

Good Luck,

Max.})
