I found a few folks on here with the same idea as mine. So like them I also would like to convert my LS to have heated mirrors(have leather and power seats, but no heated mirrors??)... Any idea where the switch is supposed to go? .... I'm clueless with this as I don't know quite how they work Would appreciate any help anyone would be willing to provide. Thanks in advance.

Were heated mirrors an option somewhere?
When someone broke my mirror in a lot, I took it apart and sure enough it was heated. I think all the power mirrors were heated.

Ok, ya'll are saying all I need to do to have heated mirrors is swap out the mirror part for one that has an element on the back? No button required? Cuz where would I find a heater pad at huh? I've been researching this for some time and very few results have been gleaned.

I'm sure you could just have it on all the time. There's really no need for it to ever shut off.

old thread, but TTT

i was searching for 'heated mirrors' and found this post...

heated mirrors came on MX-6's... TJ-MX6 said something about the wiring for the mirror heater being hooked up to the rear defroster's relay on the back window... i dunno... here's his thread: http://www.mx6.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=81153&highlight=heated+mirror

my driver's side mirror doesn't heat... i'm going to check this connection he speaks of before i take the mirror apart to see what's up inside there...

i'd like to know where to find this heating pad you're talking about too... that is, if i get in the mirror and find out something is wrong with the heating element...

the heated mirrors are a GODSEND... awesome for those cold mornings when they're misty and you don't wanna open the window just to look back!
