hey guys,

does anybody here know anything about the supercharged deisel 626 wagons?

i.e power output?
does the engine fit directly into a 1st gen mx6?
how hard would it be to adapt the 4wd running gear into a 626?

thanks

I don't believe the US got that car. What year is it...do you mean "GD" instead of "GV"? Might want to check the australian forum here; they would be more familiar with the vehicle since most of us here are from the states. I believe europe got a 1st gen wagon as well.

i was going to ask about this too. i was interested to see some pics of the engine becuase i heard that it used the same f2 block and head. which means that there could be the possibility of converting the supercharger setup over the gas version.

The wagon was called GV and yes indeed it was made up to '95.
The supercharged diesel version? I knew there must be a 4wd around, but a supercharged diesel 4wd?? Never knew that!

I belive the correct engine model was RF-CX
The compressor was a "Comprex, Pressure wave supercharger"
introdused by Brown, Boveri and Company in 1913

A = Gas Housing
B = Rotor
C = V-Belt
D = Airhousing
1 = Intake air
2 = Charge air
3 = Exhaust gas from engine
4 = Exhaust pipe

I had an oppournity too drive a FWD 626 Touring Sedan equipped with this engine a couple of years ago.
Performance wise its comperable with a 2,0 8 or 12 valve gasoline engine. Torque was a bit better but it rewed like its gasoline sibling.
The car i drove migth not be representative for its kind due too its high mileage (450000+ km)
