Hey people .............ever since i put 17's on my car its been really weird. one thing is the handling i think i need an allignment cause it goes to the pulls to the side a little. But when im on the highway the steering is pretty crappy if it goes on a bump the damn steering wheel wants to go somewhere else whats up wit that??????? i changed the axels and the front bushings..........also when i try burning out it doesnt do it it just sort of jumps up and down.... when i had my stock wheels it would burn out fine and chirp also whats up wit that?

what tires do you have? that might explain the no burning out. maybe they're just really grippy. I have 17's with kuhmo ectsa's and I can chirp my happy little ass around all day. Anyway, burning out just wastes tires. If if you're wanting it to warm up your tires for drag, no need, you don't make enough power, and 17's definitely aren't drag wheels.
If it's not out of alignment, but it feels like it, you might have a radial pull?
I Have 215/40/17 Nittos Exit GT they have a good amount of meat on them left. On the back i have one toyo that i bought used since the other one was ruined. Is it good if i have grippy tires and what is radial pull????
does the steering feel "floaty" liek it wants to do its own thing, especially when hitting small bumps, etc?

if so, i'd say its your tie rod ends. i replaced mine under the same suspiscion, (for 30$ apiece its among the cheaper maintenance items for our cars) and bamm.. steering never felt better or more precise.

It has bumpsteer? Like Goat said, check the tie rod ends, also check the balljoints and make sure you changed all the bushings that needed it. Moreover, if it pulls, there is definitely something wrong. Get it fixed before it fails catastrophically.

When it jumps up and down it is called wheel-hop. It happens because of compliance and poor geometry in the suspension/drivetrain combo. Buy lousier tires with harder rubber to fix it. (aka, there is no easy fix)

The mx6 front McP suspension leaves a lot to be desired....

Is that the part under the front disc that looks like a joystick???My mechanic said i had to fix it as well but only the one side cause the tire was moving a little more than it should.....if it is....... is that a dealer part is there any other car i could get it from? from a junkyard? How much do they run for and is it gonna be dangerous cause when i turn the steeing wheel it just stays turned i gotta turn it back on ocassions. Oh and i need to fix my rear link the one that connects to the rear strut bar its not conneted so its pretty much dangling the link. Only the other one is connected on the left hand side. Does that have anything to do with it?? SORRY FOR THE LONG POST.
ANY HELP ON WHAT I POSTED LAST I WANNA TRY TO GET IT FIXED TODAY?????????????????
