when i bottomed out, i didnt do anything to the down pipe except flatten the bottom side somewhat. the real damage came from the catalytic convertor. is what happend is when i bottomed out the down pipe hit the ground putting pressure on the rest of the exhaust. the rusty flanges on the convertor gave out and broke off. thus i thought i had broke the down pipe. so i replaced it with a hi-flow convertor, everyone should get one of these.
