hey out there in 6 land, i'm very curious about all this headlight sanding / cleaning. what does this actually do? make the lens clear ? or just clean them ? i'd like to know and do you take the lens off the unit and do the inside or do the outside ?

please let me know, and if someone has good pics i mean good pics please show them. thanx...

ok some people have claimed it gets them clear - maybe they sanded through more layers of plastic than me - but the way mine came out was more like the way it would look off the showroom floor... maybe a little glossier than normal... but certainly not crystal clear like some of the brand new cars out now...

I did mine and I agree with GoatCrap, they came out looking like they are new, but they are not clear like the glass type lenses you see on the newer cars.

Try doing it over again with 2000, it may come out better.

so take a really fine sand paper and dip em in the water
sand, sand, and sand
then put clear coat....you don't have to even take the light off...
Mine came out great since it was ALL YELLOW. It looks good and I can take that....though it won't come out crystal clear...
