If I turn the music all the way off and my heater fan is working there's a small but annoying rattling noise. Any ideas? Or tomorow I'll try to open it up and have a look. Anyone know from which side I should open it. Do i open it from the hood or do i open it from the inside of the car?

i got the same problem too along with my glove box making noise when i go over bumbs.. duno how to fix either

i'm gonna go disect the car and look at the heating fan. if i get it fixed i'll let you know how

Sorry I cant help, but I wanted to say that I have the same problem. Tick tick tick tick when the fan is on 1 or 2 (barely at 3). REALLY annoying.

My six did the same thing. Never took it apart to find the culprit.

When my buddy took apart his Volvo 240 for the same reason, he found:

-A pound of decayed leaves and pine needles
-A couple dead mice
-$5 bill
-A plastic bag.

Put it back together, heat and A/C worked a bunch better, and the noise was gone
