1995 626 with 2.5l V6. Timing belt appears to have slipped. (>125000 miles on it).

All other stuff is out of the way. Can't get crank bolt off. I looked at the tbelt zip files from the mx6 board but it doesn't say if this bolt is lefty-loosie / righty-tighty or the opposite.

1) Does this loosen by turning left (counter-clockwise) or does it come off by turning right? ?????

2) Can't get anything longer than an 18" breaker bar under car, for torgue. Tried car lug nut torque wrench didn't budge this, even with a dose of Liquid Wrench.
What are ways to get this puppy OFF ?!?!?!?!?!

Thanks, Y'all.

It unbolts counter clockwise like a regular bolt.

At the risk of your starter motor and ratchet/breaker bar, do the following...
1. Place front of vehicle on jackstands.
2. Place transmission linkage in neutral.
3. Remove passenger tire.
4. Remove splash guard from wheel well area.
5. Place ratchet/breaker bar on bolt and rotate clockwise until it is close to the lower control arm.
6. Crank the car for about a half second.

This should either break your ratchet/breaker bar, do nothing (try again), or loosen the bolt.

Your next challenge will be to get the pulley off the crank. For this, go to your local parts store and rent a steering wheel puller.
