After changing my front VCG + plugs, I ran the engine. A puff of oil smoke appeared: I assumed it was just oil that had leaked into the cylinder when changing the plugs (they had loads of oil on them, since the VCG's had leaked).

But when I revved the engine, a bunch more oil smoke appeared. This didn't happen before.

Anyway, I thought it might be temporary so I went and changed the back gasket (and installed phelonic spacers). The smoke is still there: and now it almost stalls after revving the engine (though idle is fine).

Does anyone know what's gone wrong?

Wow, thanks for your help :(

For anyone searching the boards: it was an incorrectly seated PCV valve. Once I'd inserted it correctly, the smoke stopped. Phew!
