so you have the d16y8, my dad has the d16y7 in his 97 civic. basically the same thing happened to us when we where driving through rio vista, california. It was the distributor. Check for spark
Are you kidding? Those are possibly the easiest of all hondas to do.. So much space, so easy to get at everything. got 'em down to an hour or so from start to finish including water pump.ok i got it there was no spark caused by a faulty timing belt some of the teeth broke off so had to replace the timing belt which was a complete pita i hate honda on the plus side i discovered my front driver side tire has a ball in it so saved me from an unexpected blow out well thanks for the help
