Ok, for the MILLIONTH time. Your throttle body intake tube probably has a hole in it. This is the big tube between the air filter and throttle body. If it has a hole anywhere in it, it can cause the car to run really crappy.
I think everyone with our older mx6's should replace these tubes as a precautionary measure when the cars get old.
if this is indeed your problem, try and fill it in with some type of RTV first. the mazda dealer wants like $40 for them. i filled mine with some and it worked like a champ. this is a quick and cheap fix. also if it turns out not to be the problem it didnt cost you anything but about 30 min of time and RTV.
