yeah i had this problem, the idle flucates and teh car stalls make sure that the intake u have who ever did it has the stock piping on with the mas sensor that sensor and stock tubbing are connected and have to stay on then u canadd any other piping if u take the whole piping off and in your case this is what i think u did u will get your symptoms
There is a small vacuum hose that comes from just below the throttle body on the intake manifold that has to be hooked up to the backside of the filter assembly. If you don't have it hooked up you will get this problem. If there is no fitting to hook it to with your new intake you can fit a small K & N filter to it and that will also solve the problem. Mazda engines are very sensitive to vacuum leaks and stall easily from them.
