It was 85F in Wisconsin when I left but topped up my tan this weekend in sunny Weybridge ..............
Local Pizza Hut prices are still amazingly low.
6.00pm to 9.00pm $5 Buffet and eat as much as you like.....
I also had some draft beer and the total check came to US$9.50 inc tip.
Try that in the UK ...............
I really hope that the Credit Crunch drives down prices here in the UK & Europe.
Still amazed at how cheap new cars are "Across the Pond."
The Wisconsin Dells Waterpark was fab as usual until Claire and I went down one of the shutes together and because I was on the back of the ring, we started a " Tank Slapper ", went too high and ran out of water.....
This was really scary as the rubber ring went on and we didn't ..............Arghhhh !!! :help:
We were really worried that one or more might come down at speed and hit us both which at 15-20mph could have been fatal...........
So we quickly got our act together and floated down on our butts .........
We got a few bruises but our pride was hurt more !!!
It was funny but could have been very serious too.
Last year, I broke a bone in my foot and my insurance company had me upgraded to Business Class with Virgin ( cost my insurance company £3500+)
Might have flown back again this year upgraded or in a box down in the hold .............:lol:
Just been invited to my best male friend's 50th birthday party in Chicago, so I am flying out again next week for 10 days.........Can't wait !! and he is paying for my flight which is even better......:tup:

HAHA! Yes everything is cheaper for you guys! Our $$ is so weak! but its getting better as the exchange rate dropped near $.20!!! I had Pizza Hut in Kings Lynn this passed week and it cost me almost $40 for me and a friend!! Ahh well!!! Still cool over here in the UK!! I still enjoy it!!
Good news and bad news for me, I'm leaving the UK in a couple of months... after 4 years! So im a little upset about that. Good news is im going home to Houston Texas, my wife and i bought a new home in houston, and we are excited!!! My wife and daughter are already there... just waiting on me to come home Xmas!!! :tup:
And then the Trans Am will arrive to once again terrorize the US! But first, its the UK's turn!!! :muhaha:

Ahh well!!! Still cool over here in the UK!! I still enjoy it!! Good news and bad news for me, I'm leaving the UK in a couple of months... after 4 years! So im a little upset about that. Good news is im going home to Houston Texas, my wife and i bought a new home in houston, and we are excited!!! My wife and daughter are already there... just waiting on me to come home Xmas!!! :tup:
And then the Trans Am will arrive to once again terrorize the US! But first, its the UK's turn!!! :muhaha:

Yep both countries have their good and bad points but I still regret not emigrating to the USA in 1973 when I had the chance and it was a lot easier.
Still I will be hanging out in Steak n' Shake, Culvers Burger Restaurants and Sweet Tomatoes Salad Bars in a week's time ................
Good things about the UK.........Our fresh vegetables and fruit are much nicer for some reason and nowhere can you get a decent cuppa tea other than here in the UK.
And our tinned tuna fish is far more tasty too .............})
Hey is your Pontiac a V6 or V8?

This is another reason why I love the USA so much.
Gorgeous cars with real engines.
When I bought my MG MGB GT V8 new in 1973, I went to Pennsylvania soon afterwards and drove into a Gas Station one day and saw a MG MGC Roadster. I got chatting to it's owner and told him that I had a V8......
" A V8 " he exclaimed ....."When are they coming over here".
I said that they were not and he could not believe it as a V8 MGB would have sold in thousands.
Of course, British Leyland were in charge those days and we all know about them .............
Yippee a week today I will be in Wisconsin and probably sitting in a Culvers Burger Bar listening to V8's and Harleys going by .................:tup:

With the Credit Crunch biting, flights to the USA ( & other places too ) have never been so cheap.
I fly Virgin Atlantic and this return trip to Chicago cost £325.00 ...............
It's a great airline.
Mind you I am so lucky that I have so many awesome friends over there to stay with...This sure keeps the cost down.
So save up and " Up,Up & Away ".
