There are kits out there (really HID convertions) that you can buy to convert you stock lights to HID spec. They cost from $600 and up and most likely they use OEM wiring. The kit comes with HID bulbs, voltage converter(ballasts), wiring and mounting hardwares.
You can also get the new Acura's HID lights that comes new one's .The kit comes with HID bulbs(don't touch the bulbs), voltage converter(ballasts), wiring and mounting hardwares.Just what Coldnoodle said you can but it from the street for $250 or the junk yard.If u want them look around buy there not to hard to install it.
i have recently asked one of the shops here in NY and they quoted me $550 shipped with bulb and installation instructions. from what they told me, the installation should be plug-and-play.
i think their kit is Philips.
if we do a bulk buy maybe they we can get a cheaper price?
importtrenz.com sells them for $450 and up... they could do a bulk buy and you will get a lower price. but don't count on much. $450 is a steal.
make sure you know what type of lights you need.
original MX6 has 9004 lights (rare in HID).
the J-Spec lights require either H3C or H4 lights, depending on which you want to make the HID.
Just so you're not disappointed when you get a kit. Any 9004 kit I've ever seen is LOW BEAM ONLY. You will lose your high beam with an HID conversion. That's the only thing that's making me hesitate to get one.
