Help!

My 88 MX6 developed a problem this AM. The speedometer quit working and the "HOLD" light for the auto transmission is now flashing, which, according to the users manual, indicates an electrical problem with the transmission.

Do I simply have a broken speedo cable which is causing this problem or should I be looking elsewhere for the solution. Any advice would be greatly apprectiated!

Dont worry! Your atx is ok. If you speedo doesnt work, then the atx computer doesnt get a pulse signal to judge the cars speed by. Once u get the speedo going again, everything will be fine. Check the cable?!

The speedo cable is easy to do, don't fear. Just remember to disconnect the cable from the tranny, then take out the dash. I made the mistake of doing it backwards and damaging my speedo head!
