It takes my car about 2 minutes to pressurize its coolant system after starting up cold. At that point I can get very little heat from the heater(almost none). So, does my car sound messed up? or is this normal?

It does take a few minutes to heat up the car, but then the heater should be working well. How long till you're blowing hot?

I am not really concerned with how long it takes the car to blow out hot air. I am more worried on how long it takes the car to make the coolant hoses very hard to squeeze.

My car does the same thing I just thought of it as normal and that it has to warm up before it will start blowing hot air. It normally takes about 2 to 5 min before I start getting some hot air.

I am confused. :) Do you mean that your car pressurizes the coolant system in 5 or so minutes?

I've never checked, but 2 minutes sounds about right. It shouldn't pressurize until the thermostat opens up, and that won't happen until the car gets up to temperature.
