im in the process of replacing my headgaskets and i want to go ahead and get as much coolant out of my engine and heater core as possible. so what advie can people give me? thanks

Wait... do you wanna drain the fluid or flush the system?

if you wanna flush

1) Go to parts store
2) Buy bottle of flush
3) Follow directions on bottle



and there ya have it!;)



if youre pulling the heads, youll prolly just get a lil coolant left after draining.

sry i should have clarified better. this is on my LS. i blew one of my headgaskets and my oil and coolant mixed. so now i want to drain as much fluid out of the system as possible. ive got the heads off and the radiator out now and there still seems to be a lot of coolant in it. thanks

whatever came out the lower radiator hose is all you get.

flush the system after you replace the head gaskets with a flush. of you can take it somewhere and have them do a powerflush.
