Im getting pretty pist off by this thing, everytime I step on it in third the boost goes up to 10psi and suddenly the car stops me down!! Can anyone help me this?? I havent even started any modifications to the car, but I think the flow meter has been tweaked(the car runs very very rich) and has a 2.25in pipe all the way to a flowmaster muffler(no cat). If I put a manual boost controler, (I want to go to 12psi), will it then stall everytime it reaches 10psi??
And remember, college student, very cheap budget!!

Get a chip; most people that go and try and do it the "other" way mess up their meter.

No you can mess with your VAM right after the air box, but you have to break the seal on it and once you do that there is a real good chance you will break it. You then have to find a way add the fuel curves needed. The chip does both of these things.
