How difficult is it to replace the mid-section pipe of the exhaust? I am thinking of putting the car on jackstands and doing it myself.
I have a new OEM pipe, so the fitment should not be an issue, I hope. Is it a simple bolt-on installation? Two bolts on each end and that's it?
I will also pickup gaskets for both ends.
What kind and size of bolts do I need?

Thanks!

if the new oem pipe has places for bolts, then its probably an easy bolt on install. take a look under your car and see if they look the same, if so then you answer your own question. rusty bolts might be it.

If you are not doing any upgrade then I would just take it to a muffler shop, they can probably get you new exhaust for $80. Rusted bolt can be a bitch if you don't have air tool.

Here's a picture of the cat connection.

It looks pretty rusted. Also, does the cat itself look like it will need replacing soon? Will my new pipe rust right away when it comes into contact with rusty cat pipe?

Does anyone know the size of the bolts and nuts I need?

Thanks!
