This thread shall serve the purpose of MX6'ers communicating with each other when you can't sleep. I'm a new member but lurked for years on Probetalk Performanceprobe and occasionally MX6.com. I used to own a 2G Probe 4 cyl with a T3 Turbo and an MX6 GT 1988 with a Zombie Chip.

I now own an 89 MX6 GT ATX (white with blue interior) and a T3/T4 60 trim with a .63 A/R exhaust housing. The turbo supports 350 hp but I'm nowhere near that until I hook up megasquirt.

My name is Chad and I live in La Mesa Ca near San Diego Ca. I drive a BMW 530i and I can't sleep. I just registered today after lurking the site for the past few weeks when I bought another MX6 GT from Bakersfield Ca for $1800

So yeah, I can't sleep and was looking for a MTX from a GT in SoCal. I'drather pick it up the have one shipped but I may be interested if the price is right? I have a Southbend TZ clutch with a Fidanza Flywheel, knife edged crank from Import Performance Parts - Import Performance Engine & Racing Parts and many other mods to boot.

My best time is 13.9 at 114 with a 1.8 60 ft at zero elevation (sea level).

What else? I can't sleep. Who are you? What do you drive? And do you do when you can't sleep?

Whats your 60 foot time?

114 is a good trap speed.

Got video or slips of that run? Bet it looks funny with a 60', trap, and time like that.

Did you do that with the auto? Color me impressed.

Unfortunately no

I have a slip somewhere but no video. Twas done with drag radials and an G type (LX) transmission with a Quaife differential, T3 60 trim with a .63 A/R exhaust housing on 16 lbs of boost. Any more than that and I would have spunrather than came out of the hole like a bat out of hell. Kind of like Shwine617's on a TBird. Ever see that video?

Yes i have. I like his video, his ET vs. trap vs. 60' numbers make sense.

Are you saying mine don't?

Looking back on it, 114 would have would have run me much faster than a 13.9. I have to find the slip - I think it was actually 101 and 104. I ran a few times and 13.9 was the best ET. Dyno was a little more than my weight, 250'ish hp.

Yes i'm saying your figures don't make a lick of sense.

They didn't make sense over on PT either, but misinformation and internet posturing runs rampant over there in the first place, so i didn't say anything.

250whp should get you near a 114 trap if your car runs worth a damn.

How do you figure? The 1G weighs 2775 (mine had a stripped interior without a passenger seat and rear seat) and I weigh 230ish. That puts it right around 3000lbs without fuel (which I never go with a full tank anyways) and 240-250 hp would get me a 13.7-13.9 at anywhere from 100mph to 104-105mph with a good dig 1.8, wheel hop, spinning tires in 3rd - slipping and finally catching grip down the track.

Use a calculator if you want. Anything over 110mph is netting you 10's 11's and 12's

Because my car trapped 118, that's why.

But i'm not on here claiming BS like i pulled a 1.8 60' in a 1G on my way to a scorching 13.9 quarter.

That's the difference.

You were posting nothing but pure BS from the moment you re-registered, Damien. Did you get another DUI and were bored at home and figured "Hey, i think i'll get on MX6.com and post some useless crap like i used to?"

Again, if you trapped 118 in a quarter mile, your car would be doing 11's easily if not 10's. Your car would also have to be in the 400hp range.

Post your 118 mph ET

I raced an new audi v6 turbo and he ran a [email protected] 104mph
and then I raced an EVO he ran [email protected]
I don't think 118 would be 11's or 10's maybe 12' at the least. I'm the track ever 2 weeks and 10's and 11's car runs over 120mph or more

It would maybe be doing 11s. If it hooked worth a damn. Nobody is running an 11 second quarter even with a 118mph trap with a 2.8 second 60'.

My car hasn't even been in the 12s, and i'm perfectly ok with that.

If you trapped 114 in the quarter mile, your car should be in the 11s, too. What's YOUR excuse, Damien?

Hello!
And take me to the fight club?)))
I sometimes sleep so little that it starts to seem to me that I also have an alter ego like Tyler Durden, who drives my Mazda when I sleep)))
