can sumone tell me whats the diff between these really cheap intake (under 100) and the ones that sell for more than 200 (ex. Hotshot Intake, Weapon R intake...etc.)

do they actually perform better? more hp increase? better sound? better quality? or they just for looks...

any advice or comments would be appreciated...

well...I got mine for about $45, and it works very well. Look into the prelude intake. Basically you just make a cut in the pipe, and it fits right in. I only have the 2.5" piping, I don't know if one with 3" would make much of a difference.

get a cheap one, almost the only thing that matters is where the filter goes, get it to cold air, a few other things matter a little but not $100 worth.

Pretty much it's a tube with a filter at the end... some are better insulated (ceramic coated prm or hotshot or the iceman ones, injen intakes too... but we dont get those) but other than that, just a good filter (there is a difference between cheap filters and good filters) and like 3" piping will work.

For the most part, the expensive ones are just better marketing.
