I have a 94 mx6 4cyl, and i got an intake, and it doesnt fit, 100% doesnt fit. this is the intake: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38634&item=2437670867 except mine isnt a polished pipe and it has a red filter, as well as a rubber thingy that goes between the pipe and filter, haha, i dunno what thats called...but it doesnt fit, i worked on it for 2 and 1/2 hours and it wont fit because the hood cannot and will not close. you can see in the picture that the filter sits really high up, its like 2 inches above the clearence i need to shut the hood. you can even see the sticker thats right next to the hood latch, and how far above it the filter sits. so, i was wondering if anyone would happen to have any ideas on how i could make it fit, even though i tried basically everything, or if anyone else has this intake or one like it and how the hell they made it fit. thanks

well i havent seen your car, and the link u sent didnt work, but from what i can tell, maybe...take off the intake and try to put it back on with the pipe angling downward a bit more? again im unsure cuz i dont know what sort of intake it is, but from how it sounds, its just basically a chrome pipe with a filter on the end, not like a complete out of the engine bay CAI...try to post pictures or maybe fix that link so we have a better idea of whats going on.

:lol: just looking at the picture with it so high out of the engine bay .. i wouldnt have bought it .. but .. what you can do it see if you can modify it and twist it around so it goes to the bottom of your car (meaning the pipe does downward and the filter sits near the bottom of the radiator.

If you cant manage that w/out messin it up-send it back!! I dunno about the 4-cyl, but if you're just goin w/ the WAI(RAM) for now, can u just put the filter on the end of the MAF??

aye, link doesn't work but i took a bought intake, cut about 3 inches of piping off (if i remember correctly), took a slight bend elbow piece from my roomates AEM intake and with 3 couplers fit it to the maf, tb and the filter is touching the splash guard down next to the battery

Holy SCHNUTZ. It looks like the filter sits like right on top of the radiator. No wonder it doesn't let the hood close...UMMMMM do what blades says and try to angle it to under the hood or something...I guess

I'd email the seller and ask them how the hell that's supposed to work. In the picture there's no way that hood would even begin to close.
