the turbo is the same, slightly different, but will work, besides that I don't think there is much that can be interchanged? the intake manifold is different, the exhaust manifold is COMPLETELY different, it's an overall smaller car....so I don't think you would want to use anything suspension wise? possibly tranny parts like the shift linkage?

The turbo isn't even the same. The engine in that 626 is the FE 8-valve engine, there isn't much in common between the 2 cars.

what about some body parts? bumpers, head lights, tail lights?shocks? the shocks are the adjustable kind (like mine) they are new on the 626. also what other rims will fit our cars besides rx7 and unlversale 5 lug?

If you just look at the two cars, you will see for yourself that the body parts are much different. The headlights and taillights are not even close to the mx-6's (have you even looked at the car??). Suspension parts are doubtful...you will have to take them off and see for yourself. Just because the car has the same name doesn't mean it's the same car...it's a different generation of 626.

As for rims, the ford probe and rx7 rims are popular upgrades, just watch out for the tire size. If the tire is wider than 215 or if the diameter is too wide, they will rub. I believe many nissans and mitsubishis share the same lug pattern as well.

Yep Here is my web site, as you can see the mx6 has smaller lights, and alot nicer body lines(i belive there is one guy that did a BMW 3 series hedlight swap so the older ones are really big). As far as engine stuff goes alot of it is not interchangable(or is a downgrade for you guys), but alot of the things you can upgrade like the civic sts also works for us.

the turbo is an IHI RHB...I just pulled one a few weeks ago from an 87 626, the only difference is the positioning of the banjo bolts for the coolant, other than that it's exactly the same
Wheels and housings identical? Got one here and it says VJ5 i/o VJ11. Are the banjos the only difference?
