Hi my rad blew up today of all the other things that went wrong i was just wondering how hard it is to change it. I have a stick shift 88 GT. Some pointers would be much appreciated. Thanx for all the help in advance!

The radiator's a cinch. Fairly straightfoward. Disconnect the upper and lower hoses, unplug the fan. Then un-do the upper mounting brackets. It should just lift out.

Try and be careful not to bend the fins on the new radiator either. Also, since you have the radiator out, you might as well replace the thermostat, and those hoses that go to the radiator. It will cost you more, but, get the thermostat from the mazda dealer. I got mine for $15. It's a two stage thermostat, and you can't get those from a chain autoparts store. Also, the hoses will set you back about $25 for both of them. I had to get those from the dealer, also. But, since you're spending all that money on a radiator anyway, you might as well play it safe.
