Is premium low where you are?

not sure why other than the hurricane. I have to have it also. And i am not willing to put a crap load of additives in just to raise octane temporarily. But in response to your question, we have plenty of prem up here. I do remember the whole gas scare....last week people put up $7 per gallon signs and people were still buying it for that. Some stations ran out altogether. We are fine now, but i hope the outages don't happen here.

I just paid $3.79/gal at Stop & Shop the other day.

premo is 4.09 down the street

3.89/g 92 octane

3.51 near my house in Phoenix

91 octane it $3.91/g across from my work.

3.89 for 94 where I get mine

lol i'm pretty sure he was asking if it was in low supply.. not low cost.

I should have made myself clearer in that I meant supply of premium gas in the area but the weird thing is that the price has gone down to pre Ike status but it's hard to find premium gas.

There was more than I could fit in my tank the last time I went. So the supply is fine.

Plenty of it down here in San Antonio, and low in price. I got some premium at $3.52 a gallon the other day.

4.09 in clearlake california

Filled up in Kalamazoo last night with regular for 3.84 at shell. Midgrade was 3.94 and premium was 4.08. I went in to pay and lol'd when I saw that there where bowls next to the counter. :lol:

It wouldn't make sense for premium to be low in supply. All they do is mix in additives in the trucks to get them higher in octane.

Also, most gas stations that said they were out of gas, lied. I even went up to one and took the bag off, and pumped a few gas cans full. No sediments, etc, so it wasn't the bottom of the tank. Myself and a few in my area had to do this a couple times, and every time they were NOT out like they said they were.

Kind of sickening if you ask me.

I'm also in East TN (Dandridge/Jefferson City area) and we have apparently been gouged! However, this past week some of our local stations ran out of regular and mid-grade and were selling premium at the reg. price - $3.49. I suspect the lowered price has as much to do about state investigations and news reports as it does actual supply/availability.

There has to be a reason though i doubt they would do that knowing they will be losing customers:shrug:

In NYC the supply is fine aswell...

There was a thing on the news the other day about in March, when oil was 100$ a barrel it was 1.19$ a litre. Now, when it's back down to 100$ a barrel, it's staying steady at 1.30-1.40$. And they like WTF!!

Not even a doubt they gouge us like none other.

yea the gas statins here are "out' and have been out for a week.. then like for an hour a day they open up an ppl line up all the way down the street. odd tho... i never! saw a gas truck come in! and they are only having premium which is 4.50/gal.

i guess one way to stop the complaining is to get the consumers desperate for it so they dont care about the price.

but there are cars outa gas on the side of the road all around here and i talked to a tow guy last night on my bike ride and he was tellin me how the impound lots were full and they were storing them at some other parking lot.
