Jeez I have bad luck...

So, after school I went over to Firestone to price how much it'd be to replace my EGR valve and O2 sensors since I'm too lazy to do it myself, and don't wanna take the IM off to deal with the EGR valve, and just the overall lack of room. Whatever, not point of story.

On the way back, from this tire store of all places, that's only like 5 minutes away hopping on the highway, well.. I get off the highway, about a quarter to a half mile from my house, and not long after I'm hearing a "nice" noise, and the car's pulling heavily to the left.

I know this situation.
On the same road, in the same spot, I've had this happen three times in the past.
Two more times due to mechanical problems; crankshaft sensor and a clutch going out on me.

So I find myself on a side street attempting to change yet another tire on my 6. By the way, if you haven't been watching the news, the East Coast is getting hit with a good sized storm right now.

And one of my lug nuts was stuck. I mean stuck. After 10-15 minutes of going at this one, finally a guy comes and ends up getting his brother out to help with some heavier duty tools. Not a long walk as I was stopped outside their house, haha. This helps get it off.

Of course I thanked them several times, and then they were on their way. Made me a bit happier.

Until I got the wheel off, and noticed that it's cracked on the inside lip, going down into where it meets the rubber, at least. Quite possibly the cause of it.

...How did it even crack, these are pretty sturdy wheels as far as I know? (It's the stocker, flower type.)

Anywho... Many other things went wrong today including a cookout that got postponed, my really nice shaver broke, and the girl I like's friend likes me. I know the solution to the last one, piitb, but I can't exactly piitb for the shaver, wheel, or any of the other things that've gone wrong today.

I know, I know, it's just a standard bad day. Just funny this happened coming home from a Firestone of all places, right after scheduling my car to get it painted black on the 13th.

Looks like I'll be purchasing a nice set of FD's to go with that paint job, haha.

A) The car gods are angry that you're going to firestone for something that simple

B) You can PIITB of anything. That statement clearly shows lack of experience/class/talent. Talk to me.
Shitty. I know how it goes.

Woke up this morning to go take my car for a spin around my small block, since we did a few upgrades last night.

get about 1/2way around the block before I realize that the drunks helping me last night put my driver's side wheel on, but didnt tighten it down. Tired to limp it home the last 1/8mile (since Im lazy and didnt want to alk all the way home to get the lug wrench) only to have the wheel pop off. damaged my driver's side fender, put a gouge in the inside of the wheel, cut my tire a little, and damaged my brand new rotor:(

When it rains, it pours...
[shizzle] happens.

just hope it doesnt while your piitb,

then you got somthin to cry bout
Haha, yeah.

I know **** happens, but it sucks. Used to it, but you still can't resist the urge to take a step back and say "F this."

And I'd hate that defiler. Too much loss for one very small mistake.. Alcohol + Cars = Never good.

Whitenoyz, I know. I shouldn't've been lazy and just done it myself. After the cost of the repairs however that my engine needs total, as well as the amount of work, I've decided it's gonna receive a ZE. Not gonna be lazy with that though, learned my lesson with that.

And I'd rather not piitb of anything I see.

Cell phone for example. Just, please, no...

you would be surprised what the vibration function has to offer....

:plol

seriously, dont work on your car after getting drunk. I tried tuning my car with megatune after getting hammerd. (sober driver of course, and uh, I was drunk at maybe noon?)..long story short...nothing was accomplished but some drunk boosting,
[shizzle]ty. I know how it goes.

i've learned to double check my wheels. I had a buddy that did soemthing like that once. we weren't drunk but he just finger tightend my wheels on. I also drove away and then went i'll just check...............yup one wheel two lugnuts had already started to spin off. Thank god i checked otherwise my old accord woulda had some probs.
I've actually drove off once with the lug nut key still on the one with the lock. I got about 12 miles and I heard something coming from the right front. Pulled over at the next street to check it out, my friend stayed inside the car.

Long story short, it lasted that long, unbelievably, staying on the tire. Luckily it didn't shoot off at anyone. But, I ended up getting back in the car, and saying it was just something that had popped out of place causing the noise, that I pushed back in.

Never specified, and definitely didn't say it was the key to the lug nut still on the wheel, lmao.

Wasn't drunk for that, just thought I had grabbed it already.

Not double checking yourself ftl.

At least you do get to do some boosting though, King. I'd imagine drunk boosting was entertaining, even if it didn't get anywhere. :p

Thats why I never drink and work on cars. But I needed the help, so I had to let them help me...
I had to take off my intake manifold and fix the vacuum lines at a party when i was drunk once, actually did a good job and it started the next morning

it was actually kinda stressfull..

Im all for getting drunk and working on someone elses car.. Its best when the beer is part of the deal :p
Well, aren't all boosted 6's stressful anyways?

I personally like working on other people's cars when their fridge and pantry are on limits when we take a break.

Oh god, the carnage. It's soo wonderful. :)

Yeah... and thats what got me into my predicament. I paid them in beer, but because of it they did a shitty job:p
lol i dont drink so i dont have that problem but when my friends come over i usualy have some gingerales and gummybears. :)
i have a set of sunflowers too if u want them... with the new brakes they wont fit anymore. idk what they are worth but im sure i can find you one if u just need that.
Ah, I went down to the pick and pull Sunday and nabbed one up, as well as a new spare. There were three LS's up there(Not one RS, believe it or not. Normally there isn't but one between 1st and 2nd gen in there.) All three were in front end wrecks. Two of them however were black with black leather interiors. Kind of decided then that that's what I'll go for, haha.

One had a really nice black interior, prestine everything except for missing the front seats. Had I had the time I definitely would've pulled that as well...

Eh, I like getting paid in meals rather than drinks. I dunno, I just enjoy a full stomach better than one that's regurgitating the next morning. :p
