I know there is a big debate about K&N filters.....Some say drop in is better, some say cone filter is better. Anyone have an more suggestions for an 88 MX-6 GT?? What do you guys use for the K&N cone filter size?

I use a cone air filter that I bought for 30 bucks at Carboy. The size of my filter is 7 in. long, 5 in. diameter, and has a 3 in. inlet, not realy sure about the inlet size. Personaly I think its better to have a cone than a drop filter in our cars. I say this because the air goes into the filter, through the MAS meter, and then into the turbo not the engine. Unlike N/A cars, turbo cars dont make much noise when you put in a cone filter.

cone with a CAI, is the best way to go. run some dryer hose through the fender where your stock piping comes from, you will love it, trust me.
