Hi

A couple of days ago i posted a thread, where i was wondering what kind of engine do i have.

I have checked my engine and I found the folowing numbers on:

on the part of the engine which is closer to the front it says: KL31 1A1

And on the other part which is closer to the rear it says: KL31 101

I would really appreciate it if someone could let me know wheter it's a klze or kl03 engine i have.

for a KLZE.. One should read KL31-101 and the other KL31-1A1

but you mak not have a compleat swap .. what does the intake look like?

Nope

No my intake is the a-spec, but then i guess my engine is KLZE

I'm sure now that the engine is the j-spec since also the oil filter i have to use is different from the a-spec engine's.

I'm very happy to find out that i have a KLZE

I'll change the im and the vaf and ecu to get the most out of it

Well you have at least got KLZE heads.. If you want to check your pistons just get a flash light and look down a spark plug well the top, of the piston should be flat .. have a look @ the KLZE FAQs in the performance forum..

I'll check the pistons tomorrow, since tonight i won't c a thing, but i am quiet sure the whole engine block is j-spec not just the headers, since oil filter is also the j-spec, but i'll check the pistons just to be [email protected]

Umm, my ZE and 03 run off the very same filters....

mmmmmm.... interesting!!!

I think you have a ZE head (not header... BIG difference between those two things) with an a-spec IM.

I have a ZE IM I need to hock. To bad you don't live in Texas!!!

What would u want for ur im? I have a friend in Huston, he could get it to me and we can just wiretransfer the money.

And i'm sorry..I ment as head not headers

And yes my a-spec 03 used a different oilfilter than now my klze uses (i'll check the number on the filter).
