If so, what do i need to be aware of before doing the swap. I have a 2.5 v6 now, and i am thinking on doing the JDM motor swap, and later adding a turbo kit to it. I've done engine swaps before on other cars but not the MX-6. Also, i was told by an engine shop, that the JDM motor is a 2.0 v6 that makes 40hp more than the 2.5!!!!! i thought the 2.0 was the 4 banger.

there is a 2.0 V6 called a KFZE. If you're looking for an engine with 40 hp more than the 2.5 USDM motor, it's the JDM 2.5 V6, which is the KLZE. The KFZE produces less hp than the KLDE, the USDM 2.5. The 4 cylinder engine in the US was a 2.0 with 117 hp.
