OK I'm having a arguement with some buddies. Would it be better to supercharge a KLZE or a KLDE and also if I were to put just the ZE Intake Mani and Cams on a KLDE how much of a gain would I see? Because my girlfriend wants to get a motor with 0 miles (remanufactured off importperformanceparts.net). Get brand new everything timing components, oilpan, etc. and basically every bolt-on available for the car.

De has better heads, but the ZE would push out more. better flowing heads, etc

It depends what you want from the car. You can make very good power either way. The ZE will do it with less boost since it has higher compression, bigger cams, and better flowing heads/manifold but the DE has lower compression so it will be a little safer to boost. You will break things either way so the engine choice is really up to you. ;)

To clarify, the KLDE has more reliable heads, as it is less likely to drop a valve -- it has a stronger valvetrain.

The KLZE heads provide better performance.
