On 18" rims I dont know.

For me I usually idle it at around 3000 to 3500 and then let go of the clutch. I get a fast response without all that wheel spining that lets you go now where.

Maybe 4000 for case im not too sure.

Your getting wheel spins with 18"s? I rarely get it even it I launch at 2000rpm.
If I launch at 2000-2500rpm on stock wheels I will get it.

i have 17s and i launch at 3500-4000 with very little or no wheel spin at all only thing i can say is practice heres how i do it tho

hold your clutch down in 1st rev it up to whatever rpm you want
dont let go of the gas keep it at the same rpm then slowly start letting go of the clutch when your at the right point the car should move then you just let it go all the way and slam on the gas dont know if that makes sence awell

slip it just enough to get the wheels starting to move then let the clutch go and slam the gas. Takes plenty of practice and the rpms will vary depending on your individual setup. Its not the nicest thing to do to your clutch, but that is not the issue here is it.})

hey i have a v6 in a small little ass protege and i lauch at 3500-4000, if i launch a little bit higher then 4000 i get a small wheel spin, and sometimes at 3500 i get a small spin, mind you i only get these small spins when i pop the clutch, }) which i wouldn't do because you will deffinently spin tires or have a horrible take off

the fastest possible launch is with initial wheelspin to initiate momentum and then a smooth fade to traction followed by a shift. U gotta pay to [email protected]

I'm not sure exactly what I do, it just kind of feels right when I'm at the track. I think it's generally between 2500 and 3000 rpm, and I let out the clutch quickly, but not dropping it. Keep in mind your rpm's will be different since you get those nifty ZE engines over there.
