well...the best results for me are usually rev up to about 2500-2800. THen let off the clutch and hit the gas simultaneously. It will take practice to get good at it though.;)
That's what I do at the track though, if you're looking for launching on streets, I imagine it would be a bit different because of the different concrete.

It all depends on the car, driver, conditions, etc.

I used to lauch at 4k w/ street tires w/ a slight feather of the clutch.

I lauch at 5.5k w/ slicks and drop the clutch.

It just takes experience to find out what works best for you and you car.

Just a interesting piece of experiance. When I drag raced I found that for stick cars that bias ply slicks was actually better for 60 ft times due to their ability to wrap-up. If you have a auto then you might want to stick with radial slicks because they have a stiffer sidewall. Just something to think about.

You and the car must become one, so figure it out, and practice a lot.

If you're losing to Honda's off the line then you know you're doing something wrong
