Lowering Options

I drive a 93 mx6 ls and i dont really like the ride height. Its all stock so i want to lower it to actually do something drastic to it.

So what would be the best way to do it? Springs or coilovers?

Could you guys give me some brands and prices of what you think would be best?

Thanks! :)

Did all my lowering with KSport coilovers. How far you drop it is going to depend on your wheel and tire combo too. Stock height is 53.5", I'm at 50" now. :smokin:
For price to quality and lowering ratio, I vote Ksports too. 135 will get you a set of springs. Eibach's run a little more, but have been used on here and have been proven. I'm not going to say anything about wearing out stock struts prematurely with lowering springs :p

Omg...if you had taken the 5 seconds to search the title of this thread, you would've found this:

Welcome to the internet
ok so i think iv decided to go with springs. I just dont have the money for the high end coilovers.

But people say they will wear down my struts. But i also hear people saying they wont. So what one is it?
To make it easy: When you are lowering your MX6, the stock shocks are not designed to handle that. So whether u get coilovers or springs, u should be upgrading your shocks.

If you don't, they will wear out quickly, and you will end up having to replace them shortly afterwards, which will double ur labour of taking the suspension out. So might as well upgrade them the first time.
Are you trying to lower this for handling, or for aesthetics? Nothing wrong with either, but there's some things that you could get away with for cosmetic lowering that will result in a car that doesn't handle much better than stock or even worse.
Just for looks. The handling doesn't really matter to me as long as it doesn't get to much worse then it is.
Some people will say they're fine. From my knowledge, they are practically OE replacements, meaning they may wear out just as fast as ur stock ones would.
Did the Eibachs with the 5 way adjustable Tokico Illuminas. The best thing you can do. I can drive a different car almost everyday. It will actually drive like a luxo cruiser float like ride or turn them down to 5 and it feels like a race car.
