They're pretty good in terms of ride. I have Illuminas, so I was able to adjust somewhat to my preference, and it's not going to be a stock ride, but at the same time it's not too far from stock either (if I remember right).

Install could be easy or hard depending on how many rusted bolts you encounter. It's pretty easy to do, you just have to get a spring compressor from PartSource or Canadian Tire (free rental), and everything else is just basic tools. In order to fit the GCs over the Illuminas, I had to grind down the aluminum plate at the top of the strut tube, but I'm not sure that's necessary for all struts.

I would definitely purchase again if I had to, that's the best way to put it.

I just lowered my car with H&R springs. Bought and installed at Corksport. They are really cool. Way to go. Here are some pics

This it he first car ive ever had lowered so i dotn have taht much to compare it to. But its a definate improvement. Body roll and leaning has all but gone away. It seems faster and actually feels even more comfortable at normal road use than stock. My only comment is that the re-bound is pretty high so when you go off a speed bump you get shot upwards pretty hard. But i am very pleased with the results and would highly recoment them to everyone!

LOL... please everyone get a good spring compressor.
i had to take my mounts off my stockers and put them on the blues ... the blues were all setup but the mounts were in garbage shape. so i changed em... i took the blues apart first and didnt need the compressor... i figured the stockers would be a similar situation... NOT A CHANCE... flying bolts and springs and struts is the scariest thing i have ever experienced in my life... i then used a compressor. but apparently not a very good one since it didnt compress em enough and the things still blew apart... again scary... i feared for my life. haha

Just thought id add for anyone else who is doing suspension and has no experience.

and david ur car was super sick before the kit.. still sick after... but idk why but it stock just made me happy.

I can only speak for the ride quality with 18" low profile tires.... which is to say that it is pretty bumpy but manageable. I'm not so sure if it was a daily driver weather I'd still like it or not but it definately creates a super sporty feel.

hey there, i didn't see anything about B&G lowering springs.. I have them on order. They are a 1.75" drop all around and I just put a 94 integra type r front lip on my car so I think it will be pretty low. If anybody has any good or bad feedback about B&G please let me know before I install them lol. Thanks.

I'm running KYB Gr-2's with Intrax springs, but I'm thinking of going to Tokico "blues" with H&R springs. Anyone with this setup wanna give their review?

Anyway, here is what they look like with my current setup. Advertised 1.75" drop for both front and rear.

note: these pics were taken in 2003

coreymerks, i just installed B&G 1.75 lowering springs with tokico blues and escort strut mounts which add a fraction of and inch to the lowered look, on stock rims and tires, if you want pics just let me know, email me onec[email protected].

as of 4 days use the setup is great and after the alignment its even better so im sure they will work just fine for you

Hey guys,

New MX6 owner here. Got a bone-stock 95 with a set of brand new 18" Volk GT7's. I want to drop the car, but wanted to know which spring/shock combos you all recommended. I have a camaro SS with a 3" drop, but that was nearly $3000 in parts, so I think probably the Mazda will be a different story. :)

I am looking for a 1.75-2" drop total. Although the wheel gap is currently terrible, I am very happy with the way it rides on bone stock, 155k mile suspension.

Suggestions for springs/shocks? Perhaps links to online retailers where I can purchase?
