I plan on getting the H&R lowering springs in the summer. Is it imperative that I get new struts to compensate for the new springs? Or do I have to get totally different struts? Like the KYB? What happens if I just put the H&R's on with the stock struts? Will they wear out faster? Pros? Cons?
Thanks.

I would say this - if your car has enough miles that the struts are gonna be wearing out soon, then get new struts. The ride will only be worse if your struts are on the way out and then you put stiffer springs in the car. My struts were gone at around 90,000 miles. I mean they were terrible. If you have lower miles or you have already replaced the struts, then I would think your car would be okay because I heard the H&R springs don't lower the car that much. My friend got them for his VW and it lowered the car by 1/2" in the front and none in the rear.

They will were out a lot quicker? If so, what can I do to prevent that? Get different struts? What kind?
Thanks.
