Right now, I am cursing my being in high school and not able to make a lot of money.
im interested, can you please provide a breakdown of everything else that will be needed to buy to fit this and will a writeup be done for the install?
Typically fitment assuming your using your gearbox and not another one (which would be wiser as it minimises car off the road time.

1.Remove gearbox
2.Disassemble
3.remove ring gear from open diff centre (usually by drilling the rivets out)
4.bolt new LSD to ring gear using stud kit which may or may not be provided, one from ARP cost about $150
5.Install new speedometer gear and new bearings
6.Install Diff and ring gear, with correct bearing pre load (this is the hard part) usually requires different shims to get the correct pre load.
7.re install in car

Or you could pay a gearbox place to do all that for you....I have no idea how many hours of labour.
If it was me I'd only pay for Item 6 and possibly item 5 if I was being lazy.

Gavin did a great writeup in the 1G section on how to fit a GURU LSD in to his stock gearbox : http://www.mx6.com/forums/1g-faq-tr...ntial-install-huge-lots-pics.html#post2093166

Hmmm nice looking piece...I will have to keep this in mind.
How many spines are on our inner axle shafts? Reading the OP in the link, he states that there are 26 and 28 spline variant G Series trans.

This looks very promising. For around an estimated 650, this is a good deal.

EDIT: Further reading the thread, the OP gives a shout to the Probe/MX6 guys stating the 28 spline would be best for manufacturing. Cool!
Sweet, I'm interested. I'm sure alot of boosted guys will be as well.
I am interested. You dont need to buy the $150 apr kit, You can use ford 10" diff bolts found from summit iirc. Check Probe talk for machining details. Oh and the cost is about $15 vs $150
I'm surprised that there are not many more interested parties. The number of boosted members keep growing but there doesn't seem to be much interest in an LSD. How can you pass up a Quaife quality LSD for 1/3 the cost?
people here are tight otherwise they would own better cars lol.

i think people have heard too many bad stories about LSD problems and to be honest i think its going to make the cases more likely to crack (more traction = more force on internals and therefore case) but im willing to give it a go anyway.
HA! That comment on the Australian steel compared to the CHEAP Chinese steel made me laugh!:lol::lol:
sorry, let me get this straight: this is made for the KL ?

No, it is made for the g-series transmission that is bolted to the KL, lol. This differential will fit the mazda g-series transmissions.
