OK

This is a test off the map thing, now most off you won't be able to view this file as it has an .axe extension, but the ones with MS autoroute well you's are fine need someone to donwload it from my site and let me know that it is ok ?.

http://www.btinternet.com/~bedlamuk/mazda.map.test.axe

And how i can save this as another file type that everyone will be able to see, i can save as html but not sure thats gonna be any good

Andy

PS

I uploaded a saved html off the same map and i get some crap about ms copyright whats is copyright })

It worked for me Andy.

Working the route out took quite a while though.

You could print screen and then paste it in to an image sofware and save it as a jpg???

Hmm!

Andy, you did that deliberately didn't you?
16 Hours, and 1189 miles - I'm bound to get lost! :(

Why not try this:

Plot the positions on the map with pushpins instead of points on a route.
Zoom out until you get a good overall picture of all the pins.
Press "Print Scrn" on the keyboard to copy the screen image.
Open your graphics package and "Paste as New Image" (Ctrl-V).
Save as a .jpg and upload that.

Good effort though. @-

OK you lot you think i don't know how to press PrtScn, i tire uploading it as html but when i try to view it on my site it comes back with copyright crap from MS .

and for certain people who are moaning about the route you can tell it to stop and it will stop. and this comp don't have a printer attached to it so i have had to network the thing to another comp which has 1 and will do something in there with it Grrrrrrr :).

Well

Mr J.S.W Thats all fine and dandy if the person viewing the map has Autoroute in his comp, but like someone said, they don't all have it and that view with the pins would be useless for what we are trying to do, as the cars spotted are all over the country.

so if you take a distant view off the whole country, how is anyone gonna zoom zoom zoom zoom into the map without having autoroute installed in there comp ?.

Me thinks it would be bl**dy easier to go and buy a map of our fine and beautiful country << meaning Scotland }), and do it the way Simon did.

Unless someone comes up with an idea ?.

And that would work out cheaper for you Andy... only a couple of pins needed @-
