I know these questions have been asked before.

Look, I've got a NA FE DOHC powered AT TX5 (non turbo model). I'm not that happy with the power. My old man just got a 2.2L turbo and I drove it and really missed turbo. I really want a FE twin cam turbo but the engineering is not something i want to do. Can someone, take a 2.2L TX5 turbo (standard turbo model) and drop the FE3 in it (obviously with a modded exaust manifold or adaptor flange) and just take it to get blue slipped? Or must they be engineered anyway? I really want to swap to the turbo model because they are a bit more attractive to look at.

Also, did anyone get around to ever REALLY trying out the F2T with FE3 head swap? Did it work or was it all just BS?

Thanks fellas,

Pete

I had a long winded answer up here but this is to indepth.

Check your PM and give me a call.

I looked at the getting the FE 100% legal and it is hard and expensive to do.

As for the dohc on the 2.2 block. I have done the bolt up and opted out.

I didnt want the twin cam problem with the timing gear, so Im looking at the SOHC FE head with a decent bit of work done to it. Still trying to find out how the timing will hook up, I know the front gear is almost identical, the teeth and diameter are the same.
