only thing that will be a direct swap is protege seats. and mx3 seats. and older escort gt seats also. anything else is gonna require custom seat brackets.

usually the 323 guys just use the mx3 seats. since when you install them in a 323, they sit about 3 inch's lower, and you gain tons of head room. plus there the sportiest looking ones that just bolt in.

hm, sorry, MX3 are not exactly bolt in, you have to drill the original brackets in order to get them in..
i have them :) (the sporty prefacelift ones)

also when you do drill them, you have to cut off a little of the spring for the bracket handle (dunno whats the proper term), because otherwise you cant tighten them properly to the bracket.

they look awesome in the 323F :)

thanks alot for the help guys.. so just so im not mistaking.. 92-97 mx-3 seats will fit with just slightly drilling out the stock holes on the brackets to make them bigger? is this correct? is it alot of work ? how much drillin needs to be done.. also the spring bracket thing your talking about is that the spring that lets the seat tilt back and what not? not sure exactly what you are talking about. does the seat still function proper without this spring? again much appreciatation for the help.. looking forward to getting rid of the stock seats in my 323 . thanks.

i have the old MX3 seats, pre-facelit, the RX8 kinda looking ones.

http://www.streetimports.com/uploads/seat1.jpg like these, only nonleather unfortunately.

but sorry, ive failed to notice you have the 93 323! they SHOULD be bolt on, i have the 95 (BA) 323.

if they're not bolt on they certainly are easy to fit! ive seen 323 BA's with 323 BG GTX seats so its all pretty much interchangeable.

you just need to put them your brackets, if its not bolt to bolt its probably another new hole into your brackets.

the MX3 PREfacelift (the cool looking ones) have bracket holes 30mm apart.

mine (on the BA) have them 34 mm apart.

should be a direct bolt in. as long as you dont have one of the weird canada only 95 323's. lol. i think those are related to the 323f possibly. never actually even seen one in person.

thanks again mono.. and ya those 323's are weird eh? 95 only ? thats crazy.. they look like european cars for sure!!! i seen one of these for sale a couple years back here in ontario for about 3500 with super low km's on it, and it was 5 spd.. didnt realize how rare they were or that they were only made in 95.. would be neat just to have it for mazda collection / authentic purpose.. karma for the pic.

If MX3 seats fit in a 323 (which obviously they do) then MX6 seats will also fit. I have read in a few places that leather mx6 seats fit in a mx3 with little to no modification.

The issue with the mx6 seat in a mx3 or 323 is the width, compared to the mx3 seats (esp, the 92-93 style) they are wider and taller so they will look funny and may not fit side to side very well. I would recommend getting mx3 seats, even the 94+ ones arent to bad and they fit.. although not as sporty as the 92-93

yep, sorry... they were quite popular in europe, i have the 5dr, the one you embedded is actually 323C, a 3door version of mine.

heart of mine is actually half of Xedos9, thinking of fitting a X9 transmission and breaks also, because of the longer gears and obviously better breaking capabilities.
The V6 versions of 323F, MX3,MX6,X6 and X9 are extremely compatible.
