Hi everyone,

Just looked at Parker's used car prices for a '97 R Reg MX 6.

No, I am not selling but interested in seeing it's value.

These seem fair values to me ..........:)

interesting, but still a bit low??
Hiya,

Yes, I agree but that is the state of the market for older big engined cars.

I saw an MX5 ('R' reg like my 6 ) for private sale in the street yesterday with £3495.00 on the screen. And they will probably get a close offer too.

I know which car I prefer.

MX 5 = No power, very crampt inside etc

It is a tragedy that so many MX 6's are being broken when they go wrong and this is why they are so rare now.

Still wherever I go, people in other cars stare and admire my 6 and when I park BaBaKa, people stop and go and look at her...They don't do this with the more common MX5.

Hey MX 5 owners, they are great cars by the way and I am not knocking them. I also prefer the earlier versions too.

I popped into Brooklands Museum yesterday and one of the guys there who owns an MX 5 chatted to me about the 6. He said that he thought the 6 was an improved version of the 5......:)

Have a nice day !!

i remember when i first got my car. me and mi other half went to Barnsley, and dropped into Mcdonalds for food, we were sat eating, and this bloke and his family were parekd up, he got out and was staring at my car, admiring it and saying "i've never seen anything like it" i was well chuffed, and showed him round. Since then I noticed a lot of people looking, puzzled, even most of my mates hadnt heard of them, and one mate has one now he liked it that much!
me, i love it, and its more mine now than ever since i fixed the mounting bolt (with the help of the geniuses on here of course~!!john/paul!!) now if i imagine a problem with the car, i know i will fix it, cos it is worth it!!

I wonder if the 97 P registered 6 is John's old car ( that was damaged ) and re plated with a new number.....They want £894 for it.

Hi again,

Nope, not John's and Welton's old car P460 JOV.

This was a Jan 1997 registered car and the one advertised was first registered in Februray 1997.

Oh well, wonder if John's car is still about? I see that it is not taxed after checking the DVLA website.
