Time for another update! November 27th, 2011

I haven't posted in a while, and wasn't going to until Ian motivated me on reasons for posting :) So here is the update.

The car has been stored for winter since November 1st, but that hasn't stopped me from doing any extra work before and since then. First off, the last time I posted, I had installed my custom one-off Carbon Fiber FEED front fenders. They're 25mm wider on each side, weight less than 2 lbs each and permit me to fit aggressive wheels without having any rubbing issues. Their design also makes for better brake fume dissipation and cooling. As you've also seen in the preview image, I also added new headlights. While some of you don't like them, I chose these for a few reasons. Firstly, they completely removed the need for the pop-up motor assembly, which was broken and didn't raise the lights anymore. Furthermore, these motors were quite heavy and the new lights end up saving me roughly 10 lbs. These lights are also more aerodynamic in darker environments where I would need lighting to drive. Lastly, I'm not a big fan of painting things on track cars, and these were black from the start, so they will complete the black front end look when the CF hood arrives. Anyways, here is a picture of the car with that done to it:

Once that was done, I finally got around the installing the FEED side steps. These act as a sort of continuation of the front bumper which is designed to function as a diffuser/splitter as well.

I've also done some engine work. I've removed everything out of the way for the V-Mount (Which I have the impression I've been talking about for ever and still haven't done) I re-wired my relay box and sent it in the far back driver side corner of the engine bay. I have everything removed in front of the engine and I am having the brackets made soon.

Here's a quick mock up of how it will look:

I also added a new intake system, a GReddy elbow and Engine Torque Damper.

Now, here is the reason why I wasn't going to post anymore updates. You guys gave weaksauce so much grief and hate about it, that I just didn't want to bother posting and dealing with it. I received and installed my Voltex Type 5 Carbon Fiber GT wing. Yes, it's [fizzle]ing huge, but that's how it needs to be to be effective and useful.

That's pretty much it for now. During the winter I'm hoping to finish up my brakes set-up, get my hood installed and hopefully my finances will permit for a 90mm single butterfly throttle body and ST front and rear sway bars...along with lowering the tC2, adding an exhaust and injen intake to it as well.

As always, thanks for watching, and please, be nice about the wing...it's my car, not yours.

Thanks man! They are all electrical. I do not want to mess with lines and vacuums leading into the dash and possibly kinking/leaking
Cool, cool!

Keep an eye on those... i'm starting to hear more and more reports of their gauges not lasting the test of time. The electric boost gauge being a main culprit.

Luckily, they've got a year warranty, so for the price, it's all good. :)

Looks good Joey  I like those climate control knobs more than the one on my 93.

Thanks Chris! I thought about the OEM CF hood, but Other than saving a little bit of weight (stock hood is Aluminum) I wouldn't gain much. I chose this one to get more air into the engine bay from the front vent and to help evacuate heat by the 6 rear vents. With the V-mount, this is going to work wonders since the air will already be going in the direction of the vents.
