I've heard of this swap before, but never actually seen it done. How hard was it? What modifications needed to be done to make it work? Is the handling significantly affected by the extra weight in the front? But more importantly, how fast does the bugger go?

Damn,

The speed question is the one that I dont have the answer to. I have been having some electrical problems, so the car has not been run. I believe that I have them sorted o8ut though, so I am hoping to make it to the track at least once before the white stuff falls. It should go like stink though, a KLZE in a car that weighs 2150lbs.

Anyways, the swap was not all that difficult, although I did enlist the help of some friends as I was very rushed for time.

I hope to be boosting by late next year, if finances allow for it

yo man phat escort i had one of those before the mx6 verynice (lightweight) sleeper you have. And wheres the radiator i dont see mounts ????? am i the only one that noticed that?

There is a rad off of a VW, nice and small

The stock rad didn't leave enough clearance, the Jetta rad was not installed at the time that those pics were taken.

What sort of electrical problems are you having ? I have a lot of info on the V6.. do you want the wiring diagrams and PCM pin outs?..

Are the PCM pinouts the same on the USDM computer as they are on the Jspec computer??

I am using an MX3 wiring harness as well as JE50 VAF, with the J-spec ECU.

Actually, neither post is of me.

The one I posted here is my grandfather, the one on my CD site is a friend that helped with the swap.
