Well, I changed the head gasket, I swear we put everything back together right.

It took two days to start it, then it idled and was smoking a little bit(I thought maybe it was just burning some old crap), then my A/C / Power Steering belt slipped off(funny how I somehow mess up on the easy part) and then I heard some LOUD metal kind of noise and shut her off.

I don't know what exactly is wrong, but I am assuming internals, I don't know what else it could be.

Thanks Iggy:D

I took those with my phone, I'll get better ones sometime.

I don't want to fix it because I think it's a pretty in depth problem, and I have to save all of my money because they actually make parts for this car(damn, real parts are really expensive:D).

The MSP is fun as hell! I can't believe the handling. I have yet to make my tires squeal around a turn.
However, I do think my 6 was faster(in it's prime), but the MSP seems to pull better higher up. I don't know for sure though, because I have been pretty nice to her while trying to break in the engine. I'll go for 600 miles and then see what she can do.

Yeah, yeah. Don't get me wrong, I still love the MX6. I ended up buying it because it looked decent and had a stick:D Then I did some research and I became VERY glad that I chose it as my first car. I learned a ton of things from this site and I'm not about to leave it. Someday, maybe, if I didn't sell to many parts, I'll try to bring mine back to life.

I just found a turbo kit for the MP3 that will give 450 whp!

i hope it comes with rods, pistons, rings, bearings...

FYI the mazdaspeed protege has the SAME engine as the non-turbo protege's, SAME internals, how many people that youve seen turbo their 2.0 2nd gen and put 4 or sometimes 8 holes in the block... I dont know why mazda didnt beef up at least the pistons.... so you dont blow the car up just by putting a dawes device on it.

Ive driven the MSP, its superb...i love everything about it except its kinda doggy... theres no real "pull" it just feels like a smooth revving v6... i think thats what they were intending to a point..but the wastegate opens too early :)
