I searched but couldn't see anything about this.

I was under the car today (94 MX6 with automatic transmission).
The place where the transmission drain plug is supposed to be is instead
a plug, which looks like maybe it could be removed using an Allen wrench,
unless it is a fixed plug.

Has anyone heard of this type of drain plug being used on ATM ?
If not, then maybe it's a fixed plug, and you can't drain it.
I don't know the size either, I think a normal drain plug is 22 mm.

Thanks for responding,

Its been a while but i believe you can drain from that. It doesnt do a very good job of draining, when i took the pan off it still had a ton of fluid in it. Its been almost two years since I did this but I do remember that plug being there.

the 6 didn't come with a drain plug until 96. Unless your tranny's been swapped your going to have to drop the pan to drain it. (believe me I know it sucks)
