I'm about to purchase a shogun body kit but am still a bit skeptical when it comes to purchasing one cause of some negative stories that i've heard of. I would like to get feedback on quality of the body kit , fitment and reliability from the service provided from the supplier, from anybody who has purchased a shogun body kit from Spoilers etc. Thanks.

DEfinatly go with the kits from buybodykits.com They are cheap and they fit with out any hassle. Try to mix your kit. Get a buddyclub front and shogun sides. The pieces are cheap enough for it! :)

no offense, but i if you are looking for feedback dont listen to 2fast, his opinion is completely 100% biased because he works there. i have heard of people having problems with the kits from illicit and they are formly buybodykits.com if i'm not mistaken. The only reason companies change their names is to run from previous mistakes so obviously they've screwed up business principles before, so i wouldnt say they are totally reliable, but then again there arent too many companies out there online that are for our kits!

Mademan, first get your facts straight. When it comes to body kits, we have the best reputation out there. Oh no, some people have complained. I guess that must mean we are the devil. No matter how good a product you make, somoeone is going to *bitch*. People cant help but complain because something went wrong in there install and blame it on the company that made the product. With all the complaints I hear on this board, not one person has had the balls to call up illicit racing and actually complain to them. why do you think that is? Also, take a look at www.buybodykits.com It is still us. We did not change our name to get away from angry customers or bad reputation, we changed it because we sell more than just body kits now, we sell parts and accessories too. So please, before you badmouth a company, get the story straight. Also, i dont think my claims are biased just because I work there, shop around and find better prices and quality, then we'll talk.

temper temper, anyways, i did in fact by my body kit from illicit and it does fit, no problems, however they did try to charge me an extra 110 on top of the 100 shipping to ship to my home, but the kit never came to my house and i had my credit card company remove the charges, but other than that the kit fit fine, i just dont think that advice should be taken from somebody who works there. Because who knows, he could make a commission on sales, therefore his opinion would indeed be completely biased. as for reputation, your opinion is once again biased, a reputation is determined among customers not employees. plus your company has so many loose articles in fine print, i wouldnt consider the company that reputable, its not customer focused enough. More liability toward the customer than the business, personally as a customer i dont find that appealing at all, i find it somewhat offensive. Don't be an ass about it, just take my constructive criticism and pass it up to your supervisor and maybe if your company would like to make a better bottom line you can change your name for the third time and be better focused on customer relations and possibly make more money, and maybe just maybe you will get a small raise out of the deal, or maybe you wont cause you arent as high up on the ladder as you think you are. @-

I don't usually post in here, but I noticed you had posted, and I hate you, so I thought I'd go reply :)

When I worked at a business, I did my best to advertise our products and promote sales. I did not make a commision, but I knew that my hard work would gradually get from the bosses wallet to mine.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with 2fast plugging his company, it does not make them seem unethical or shady or anything.

As far as I can tell Sh0GunMX and you both had successful transactions with Illicit/Buy BodyKits. Therefore you have absolutely no grounds to say what you did.

True, some people may complain, but any company that sells anything will get an occasional complaint. Trust me, I worked retail for long enough to understand that.

Your statement about company's changing names is completely ungrounded and false. Many large name companys change their names, sometimes because of mergers/buyouts or othertimes just to update their image and give their PR team a new look.

If 2fast was so ashamed with BuyBodyKits, then he wouldn't put "Formerly BuyBodyKits" in his advertisement. The reasion he does that is because he knows that he does have a good business reputation and the name recognition will help his sales.

Now its time to get personal. I've read all the threads concerning you, and your "Fortune" provided to you by your "daddy". The way you act is typical of a spoiled rich kid prick. You claim to run a business but the statements you said here show that you know nothing about business management or public relations.

I may make thousands less than you, but I guarantee that I am a happier and more respected individual. I enjoy my work, I have a wife that loves me, and I manage to get the bills paid. What more is there to wish for?

wow.. way to take a thread off track, anyways, i did not have a problem with illicit racing. My kit fits perfectly and i'm very satisfied with it and thankful for that, i was just merely saying that anything 2fast will say about his company is biased because he's looking to get a sale. if a member of this board is looking for comments on a bodykit he should be able to get non-biased opinions, if i was looking for info i would want non-biased opinions and i was simply trying to let Cabrito understand where 2fast was coming from. he makes out illicit racing to be perfect. indeed my kit fit good but who is to say that he might get a bad batch or that they might try to jew him like they tryed to jew me on shipping. He does live in ontario with is more north than pennsylvania so he might be better off going with somebody closer to save on shipping costs. so before anybody jumps down my throat i want to clarify that i'm not trying to start flame wars with individuals just trying to look at alternatives and suggestions for other members. and it drives me nuts everytime somebody has a question about buying the shogun kit, 2fast has to jump on it and claim that the company he is employed to is better than anybody else.

F*ck you Mademan. 2Fast is one of a select few people who have actually tried making things available for the MX6, and he does a great job of keeping the price as low as he can and the quality as high as he can. No one likes you....shut up until YOU have made a positive contribution.

Anyway, I think the shogun kit looks really nice, but the style is getting kind of outdated. That "wavey" curvey design really flows well, but it seems to just not fit in with the times. Don't get me wrong, it's still a nice looking kit.....but personally (if I still had an MX6), I'd opt for the Buddy Club kit - I think that is just one VERY well designed kit. It looks great in any color.

When it comes down to it, though - it's your decision. It depends on what look you are going for. But I highly suggest you look to 2Fast or Coldnoodle if you are going to buy a kit......Erebuni (supposedly) is poor quality, and other online places will only sell imitation kits. Illicit-Racing (buybodykits) and TC spoilers have earned their respect with the people here, so make sure you go to them when you decide.

I got my buddyclub from IR. They are obviously a distributor for TCSpoilers since my kit came in a TCSpoilers box & I have a TCSpoilers sticker on the inside of my rear bumper. That means that they buy at a discounted price from TC & sell for a little bit less. How can you complain? I know I can't.

To 2fast: I got my buddyclub completely molded & painted. I learned alot about fiberglassing in this project & it looks great. Your 1 of a kind mx6 is hard as hell too! I wish I could see it in person.

I got my shogun from illicit-racing too. It wasn't a "perfect" fit, but no fiberglass kit is. It still fit though. So there you go mademan, i'm giving illicit-racing compliments. And I am a CUSTOMER. BTW, 2Fast is owner of illicit-racing, lol...I can see how much you know. Maybe you should change your name on mx6.com, seeing no one likes you. Go ahead, cover up your mistakes @- @- @-

i never said anything bad about my kit dipsh*t, actually i said that my kit fit just fine, i had no problems getting the kit on my car.. but nevermind, everybody who has posted to this reply is just replying to simply jump on me, its funny..

anyways think about, if you wanted advice on something for your precise car, wouldnt you want advice from customers and rather not someone who works at the shop you are doing business with. I mean the business just wants your business, thats money in their pocket, so their opinion is going to be biased, that is all i was suggesting, so i was providing information to the person who was looking for info.

A bunch of people have been giving me crap lately, i must have gotten a good last word in somewhere or something, haha. Anyways.. i wouldnt change my name because thats not me. i'm known as mademan and i've been known by that for years so.. why change it, i'm not ashamed of anything.. usually people change names or companies change names to run from something, its not a fact but its a pretty good assumption and usually its the truth, but hey listen to 2fast - his opinion shouldnt be biased now should it..

well atleast your honest.. i respect that.. :D.. you gotta admit though.. what i said about getting non-biased opinions is true, and thats why i posted what i posted.. i'm just like everybody else on this board when it comes to their mx6, we love our cars, we want the best for our cars and in order to get want we want for our cars we come on here and ask questions looking for advice from other mx6ers on purchasing from certain vendors. 2fast is in the business so whatever he says whether good or bad (would he say anything bad.. that was my point) would be biased because he is looking to put a little extra cash in his pocket. i have nothing against the guy for doing so. a dollar is a dollar and he's gotta play his role in society and make a living somehow so thats cool, all i'm saying is his opinion is biased because thats how he makes his living. i had a good experience with illicit racing and i received my kit fast at a good price and it fit perfectly snug, i did have a little problem in that i was charged 210 for shipping when it was agreed to be 100, but it was fixed and i didnt have to pay that extra 110. so i'm definately not complaining about illicit one bit. i did want to present certain factors about illicit i thought was important, for instance that they changed their name, whether they use the old name or not, they still changed their name. it was changed for a reason, i refuse to except any bs excuse saying that another name generates more revenue, if that were the case why not change name 10 times, make 10 websites and trade up that custom type r mx6 for a porsche. as a business major and a subscriber to wsj i read a lot and i'm always learning.. it is understand that usually businesses change names to run from something.. just like anybody changing a name.. to run from something..

the dude was looking for an opinion, thats my opinion

I am a customer, I do not work there! So this IS advice from a CUSTOMER, not a worker. Wtf, you can't read?

so..... yourself
