I'm just looking for a little advice as to where to put some new fog lights I ordered. They're going in this Saturday, but I don't know if I should:
- take the stock fogs out, and put the new ones there
- take the stock fogs out, and put the new ones in the middle of the lip
- leave the stock fogs, and add the new ones.

I basically just got them to help with lighting at night, I have Silvania Silverstar bulbs in my headlights, but it's still not very bright. They're 100 watt HID lights, so it should help out quite a bit.

Well, wasn't that thoughtful of them. Are the predrilled holes on top I'm assuming? I've been down in that area when I was putting a mesh grille in, but didn't pay much attention. I miss my car, I haven't driven her since Thursday.

umm...I didn't see the holes? Am I retarded?
I've had the front bumper replaced, I don't know about the support though. Would the replacement maybe not have the holes? I ended up just making it much easier on myself and put them in place of the stocks. I can see much better now, but still not great.

I've noticed that the holes are there on mine, but they are currently being occupied by screws
These screws look like they are supporting the font bumper but it's kinda hard to tell.....
Maybe the screws that come with the fogs when you buy them fasten the fogs and bumper in conjuction??

I dunno......it's kinda hard to tell what these exsisting screws are doing there, unless I take them out to see......but it's too dark and cold out right now, so it will have to wait till another day.

maybe someone already knows??

I saw the holes that had the screws keeping the front bumper on, maybe those are them? I took one of the screws out to put the bracket for the lights on, but it wasn't the right size. Since there was no way to attach the nut, there was no way for me to keep it there.

What emblem is that on your hood?

Its one of those Super Street emblems... I have always liked the radiation symbol, and I needed some kinda emblem on there til i buy a real one....

I dont think those are the same holes... The bumper would not be held on from there...There is a gap above the holes(this is where the nuts/washers will fit, w/ liberal amounts of cursing when you cant get them to stay in place while you try to bolt the fogs up). Try feeling around for them, they are there.

That's the Mazdaspeed kit. It does look very nice, but it's not really worth it unless you have money to blow. It's very expensive, and the only place I know of to get it is corksport.com, somewhere around $2000 there.

You're from St Louis too

I just moved to Springfield for school. I lived in the Florissant area. Its too bad other companies dont carry that kit. Then it might be cheaper.

I don't think it's expensive because of corksport. They have to buy it at a certain price, and Mazda probably charges quite a bit. They have to charge around what they are or they wouldn't make a profit.

I still dont understand the $900 price for just a front lip and side skirts. I guess you are paying for the Mazda name.

I think that's pretty much it. Mazda parts seem to be much more expensive than they need to be.
