I was wondering if anybody could help me out with something. I know a guy who had a dodge spirit, i know its a piece of shit but bare with me. Anyways, he took the throttle body off of a dodge caravan and put it in his car. I was wondering if i could take the throttle body off of a mazda truck and hook that up to a new intake. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

You could always get your current throttle body bored at a competent machine shop to 65mm (up from 60) and save the hassle of trying to get the linkage, IAC and TPS stuff sorted out.

For my car, I bought a TB from a wreckers for $CDN150, then had it bored to 65mm by a good local shop for about $CDN120. This included them cleaning it & making up a new throttle plate from brass stock etc.

Prices in your area may vary of course and you can forego the $150 if you bore the one on your car. Using a second TB lets me keep the original one stock if I should ever need to go back to it.
